## Raindrop is fine. Is the pile?

Raindrop is a free bookmark manager with collections, tags, and a visual grid, and it was still shipping updates through September 2026. This page does not call it abandoned. Some people on Reddit have complained about support. That is a report from users, not a shutdown. If your problem is finding a link again, Raindrop is often enough, and it is free. If the problem is an unread pile of X bookmarks, another folder will not close it.

Stay on Raindrop for ordinary bookmarks, highlights aside. Look at Linkwarden or Karakeep if you want to self-host. Look at Linkflare if you want an inbox beside a library. Look at ZeroMark only for X bookmarks you intend to finish. ZeroMark is not a Raindrop replacement for the rest of the web.

We make ZeroMark. Prices and features below are from each vendor's own site, checked 17 October 2026, and linked in Sources.

### What they do better

Raindrop's free plan is the reason it is the default. Collections, tags, a visual grid, and a Pro tier that costs less than most of the tools on this site. ZeroMark does not try to file every link you have ever clicked.

### Where ZeroMark is different

For X bookmarks, ZeroMark reads the save, including the quoted post, and asks for a decision. The open count can reach zero. Raindrop will store the same posts as links and wait.

- A summary on every save before you see it, including the quoted post a reaction is about, plus why you kept it.

- One decision per save: done, let go, or snooze for a week. Undo walks the sitting back. The open queue ends on a Zero card.

- Order comes from your own finish rate: what you mark done against what you let go.

- Keeps can leave for Notion, Obsidian, or a file. Stopping payment does not delete what is already read.

- The X connection is read-only. Triage stays inside ZeroMark. Nothing is posted, liked, followed, or removed on X.

### Where ZeroMark falls short

Not a general bookmark manager. No collections. No self-host. If you came here to replace Raindrop for the whole web, pick one of the other rows.

### Switching

- Keep Raindrop for everything that is not an X bookmark you mean to finish.

- Connect X here and clear the latest saves free.

- Export keeps if you want them in Notion or Obsidian beside the Raindrop library.

### Questions people ask

#### Is Raindrop abandoned?

No. Do not take this page as that claim. Updates were still shipping through September 2026. A Reddit thread about support is a complaint, not a shutdown.

#### What is the closest self-hosted alternative?

Karakeep and Linkwarden are the two on this list you can run yourself. They are archives, not queues.

#### Is ZeroMark a Raindrop alternative?

Only for the X backlog. For filing the rest of the web, no, and Raindrop is free.

#### What does Raindrop Pro cost?

About $28 a year, as read in September 2026. Their buy page renders the price in the browser, so confirm it there.

#### Can I use both?

Yes. That is the sensible setup.
