Raindrop is a free bookmark manager with collections, tags, and a visual grid, and it was still shipping updates through September 2026. This page does not call it abandoned. Some people on Reddit have complained about support. That is a report from users, not a shutdown. If your problem is finding a link again, Raindrop is often enough, and it is free. If the problem is an unread pile of bookmarks, another folder will not close it.
Stay on Raindrop for ordinary bookmarks, highlights aside. Look at Linkwarden or Karakeep if you want to self-host. Look at Linkflare if you want an inbox beside a library. Look at ZeroMark only for bookmarks you intend to finish. ZeroMark is not a Raindrop replacement for the rest of the web.
We make ZeroMark. Prices and features below are from each vendor's own site, checked 17 October 2026, and linked in Sources.
Free for your latest 50 saves. $4.99 a month, or $39 a year, reads them all.
| Tool | Job | Free | Paid | Self-host |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Raindrop.io | File everything | Unlimited bookmarks | Pro, about $28 a year on our September read | No |
| Linkwarden | Preserve pages | Open source | Hosted price unknown | Yes |
| Karakeep | Self-host everything | Self-host | $4 a month or $40 a year cloud | Yes |
| Linkflare | Inbox plus library | 1,000 bookmarks, with ads | $4.99 a month billed annually | No |
| ZeroMark | Finish bookmarks | Latest saves | $39 a year | No |
Raindrop's free plan is the reason it is the default. Collections, tags, a visual grid, and a Pro tier that costs less than most of the tools on this site. ZeroMark does not try to file every link you have ever clicked.
For bookmarks, ZeroMark reads the save, including the quoted post, and asks for a decision. The open count can reach zero. Raindrop will store the same posts as links and wait.
Not a general bookmark manager. No collections. No self-host. If you came here to replace Raindrop for the whole web, pick one of the other rows.
No. Do not take this page as that claim. Updates were still shipping through September 2026. A Reddit thread about support is a complaint, not a shutdown.
Karakeep and Linkwarden are the two on this list you can run yourself. They are archives, not queues.
Only for the backlog. For filing the rest of the web, no, and Raindrop is free.
About $28 a year, as read in September 2026. Their buy page renders the price in the browser, so confirm it there.
Yes. That is the sensible setup.
